Counting down the days!

Each day this week and next week we are going to celebrate the (almost) completion of second grade!  Each day we will open a bag with the designated number on it and reveal a fun surprise for students on that day. Today we enjoyed learning without wearing our shoes! I wonder what tomorrow will have in store for us!

Dear Families of Room 11,
Can you believe there are only two weeks left of school? This year sure did go by fast!  Listed below are the important reminders and objectives for our week.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks!

Important Reminders:

  • With the hot weather returning, make sure your child brings a water bottle to school so they do not miss class time to get a drink!
Weekly Objectives:

Writing:  This week we will complete our unit on gripping fictional stories.  We are going to start publishing our stories on our Google Drive!

Reading: During reader's workshop we are going to review all of the reading strategies we have discussed this year.  We will be making our own reading journals that students can take home with them in order to use the reading strategies over the summer!

Social Studies:  This week in social studies we are going to finish our unit on Ways of Living and we will have a test on Friday.  Be on the lookout for a study guide that will be coming home this week!
